Water is the Key
The planet we live on is approximately 2/3 water by surface area. When looking for other planets that might viably support life, it is the presence of water that is one of the main factors that NASA is looking for. Life evolved in the sea and moved to the land.
- Mammalian cells are 99% water by molecule numbers and bodies are approximately 2/3 water by volume.
- Animals are primarily aqueous beings! Every single reaction in every single cell occurs within an aqueous environment.
- Water is the basis for blood that transports nutrients to the cells, waste products away for excretion, and within which red and white blood cells carry oxygen and protect the body respectively.
- Water is broken down and formed as a result of many different biochemical reactions. When water is broken down, the hydrogen released plays a major part in energy metabolism, cell signalling and more.
It is obvious therefore that the quality and composition of water within any body will determine how well it functions overall. Most people have no concept that there are 18 different isotopes of water when you consider that there are 3 isotopes of hydrogen and 3 isotopes of oxygen, although the vast majority of water is in the form of two H1 combined with a single O16 giving a total atomic mass of 18. Heavy water will mostly replace the H1 with H2, known as deuterium and usually accounts for about 150ppm in water. As you might imagine, doubling the mass of hydrogen has implication for how the body uses it when heavy water is split. Over time, mitochondrial function becomes compromised by the accumulated H2. Drinking Deuterium-depleted water has proven health benefits through enabling the body to replace the heavy H2 that clogs up the mitochondria with H1 so that they function better, which has implications for energy metabolism and much, much more.
H2O is structured with two H1 atoms flanking either side of a central O16 atom creating an angle just over 104o as pictured below.
.

The H1 atoms each have a single positive charge (+), whilst the O16 is 2- giving a neutrally charged molecule overall whilst being described as polar within each water molecule. It is this charge distribution that determines the water angle, allows ions and other charged molecules to dissolve in water, and also determines how the water molecules themselves orientate relative to each other. Clearly, not all water is the same, and yet within conventional thinking for both medicine and agriculture, little to no attention or consideration is paid to this. There is no concept about how the biophysical properties of the water impact how an organism, whether animal or plant, can function. It is important to consider plants too, because animal water intake doesn't just occur from drinking water. Fresh food has a significant water content that is absorbed during digestion and can determine the bioavailability of other nutrients too. Water quality is only generally considered in relation to what is dissolved in it and/or microbial or other contamination. The physics of water as described above will inevitably impact the solubility and function of ions and proteins including enzymes and other bioreactive molecules. How the water molecules arrange, and pack together will also determine how the body can utilise the water itself.

The water content of the body is compartmentalised around the body in the approximate proportions shown in the diagrammatic representation. Water moves between the different compartments and is continually being used in reactions, being replaced, and circulating around the body.
Cell membranes control the inflow and outflow of water which occurs through special channels called aquaporins. Depending on how the water molecules themselves are structured and orientated relative to each other determines how clumped or clustered together they are. Clearly, smaller water clusters will pass more easily through aquaporins than larger ones.
Where the water in the body is more clustered, and water cannot move so easily between compartments, those compartments will tend to be dehydrated. Prof Gerald Pollack discovered the 4th phase of water whereby water molecules create a semi-crystalline lattice arrangement next to hydrophilic surfaces. This also plays a crucial role in physiology that mainstream medicine has yet to properly acknowledge and adjust its theories to accordingly.
Once clustered together, water tends to stay and move in these clusters. As well as determining how easily water moves around the body, cluster size also determines how water packs around and between other charged molecules such as proteins and DNA. It was Professor Luc Montagnier who told Roger over lunch one day that the distance between each turn of the spiral in DNA is exactly the space for a single water molecule. It would seem to indicate that the spatial structure of DNA is determined by its aqueous environment, and that DNA function will thus rely on the structural quality of its surrounding water. The smaller the water clusters, the better the hydration, structure, and function of DNA, and maybe the more coherent its link to the quantum information that Wave Genetics taps into too.
The importance of hydration cannot be overstated, and extends to structural proteins too. For example, connective tissue in animals is primarily constructed from a protein called collagen which makes up approximately 30% of the body. 28 different types of collagen have been identified. Collagen holds water, and as aging occurs, collagen loses its elasticity. Consequently, older individuals are more prone to skin wrinkles, muscle, ligament and tendon injuries, weak heart, leaky gut and more. Roger believes that this is because the average size of water clusters within the body tends to get bigger over time. This would explain why collagen cannot hold so much water as happens with intervertebral disc disease which can result in bulging discs, although intervertebral discs are generally smaller in animals and not so much of a problem apart from some long-backed breeds of dog such as the dachshund. Well hydrated collagen is more elastic, and so less prone to collagen fibres snapping under tension. Dehydrated collagen is less elastic and prone to structural injuries. Those athletic animals that are pushed to the limits of their structural tissues are therefore more prone to injury if they are chronically dehydrated at the cellular level. This won't necessarily be accurately indicated by plasma water content. More recently, the function of fascia in the body is being increasingly recognized for the important role it plays in musculoskeletal structure and function. Prof Alfred Pischinger, amongst others recognized that the extracellular matrix (ECM) also plays an important role in communication within the body. Poor hydration of the fascia and ECM will adversely impact these important functions.
We are what we Drink!
Most people have heard the saying “You are what you eat” but it is equally, if not more accurate to say “You are what you drink” given how much more water the body contains than anything else.
What is becoming clear is that it is the failure to consume (through drinking and eating) and to assimilate enough water of sufficiently good structure and quality that increases disease and aging. Drinking lots of poorly structured water does not compensate for this and is unable to hydrate the body sufficiently to prevent this deterioration. Cats, having evolved from desert animals are the best example of this, where they relied in getting the majority of water from their prey food. Domesticated cats fed kibble are denied this primordial and fundamental source. Combined with the poor quality of tap water they are offered to drink, they struggle to properly hydrate. It is no wonder that chronic kidney disease is probably the number one cause of death in domestic cats. Dogs fair little better, but are at least more likely to drink water from a bowl than a cat. Nevertheless, many dogs (and all other animals too) are likely to be chronically dehydrated unless they have access to a more natural source that is both uncontaminated and well structured.
The more poorly-structured water is consumed, the more better-structured water is displaced and flushed out, and the quicker the aging process progresses and individuals concurrently become more prone to physical injuries. For animals performing at the extremes of the athletic capabilities of their collagen, drinking structured water will help maintain their collagen in a healthier, more hydrated state, and potentially increase performance whilst significantly reducing the risk of soft-tissue injury during their career.
Roger drinks and gives Boots filtered water only. Tap water contains a wide array of chemical contaminants from pharmaceuticals (especially oestrogens from the human pill and HRT) and cleaning products, agrochemicals such as glyphosate and more. Although likely to only be present at trace levels they can nonetheless contribute to health deterioration, especially if they are accummulated in the body. With the threat of fluoride to be added too (known to adversely impact the brain), Roger does not consider tap water to be as truly potable and healthy as the big water companies would have us believe. Chlorine is added to bleach the water to make it look clear as much as to kill pathogens, but the glass jug Roger uses to fill his filter still accumulates a dirty scum from the tap water unless regularly cleaned.
Water Filters and Re-structuring Devices
There are a number of water filter options and water treatment options available, some of which are healthy, and others that claim a lot but in reality do nothing.
Alkaline Water Myth
Let's dispel the myth of alkaline water. It has been hyped for supposed health-giving attributes for a number of years. Roger suspects that any health benefits that might have manifested are most likely because water drinking habits have changed and people attribute benefits to what they're drinking rather than the fact that they've probably increased water intake, and maybe also reduced sugary drinks etc too. Simply by swapping away from tap water to something more filtered and possibly more structured can be sufficient to notice benefits on its own. The benefits however are nothing to do with the pH of the water as explained in this video.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water
Reverse Osmosis produces the cleanest possible water - it removes absolutely everything and has been shown to be able to filter out up to 10,000 different contaminants from water.
Its strength is also its downside in that the body needs ions, minerals and trace elements too, and these will aid absorption of the water when consumed.
The Osmio Zero can be plumbed into the water supply or used as a stand-alone portable unit. It will produce ambient, hot and nearly boiling water as desired. Click through on the relevant picture to find out more information.
Both units are suitable for house use for you and your household pets.
Gravity Filters
Roger uses a gravity filter like the one shown here for his and Boots' drinking water. Glass is better than metal filters than can potentially leach metals such as aluminium into the water.
As with the RO system, filters need to be replaced on a regular basis as they will clog up with what they remove and slow down the filtration process, which in this case occurs naturally through gravity.
The quality of the water is therefore determined by the quality of the filters. Get the best quality filters you can afford and make sure they are capable of taking out as much fluoride and everything else as possible from your water source.
Fractal Water Imploder
The Fractal Water Imploder is designed for use on horse yards, farms or can be installed in a home. The imploder section creates a water vortex that breaks up the water clusters that form when water is piped long distances through our municipal water infrastructure. The high density magnetic field then aligns the polar water so that it flows more easily, reducing electricity use for pumps, removes hardscale by creating bullet-shaped aragonite crystals instead of the star-shaped CaCO3 that furs up pipes.
The water tastes fundamentally different and animals are encouraged to drink more than before and fundamentally hydrate themselves better.
Roger is the official UK distributor for these units and will write a more detailed blog on them in the near future.
Water Re-structuring for Pets
The Taste Enhancer technology is based on bioresonance principles and housed within a rugged plastic casing.
Simply by placing food or drink on the Taste Enhancer for 30sec - 1 min per litre the water content is re-structured thereby reducing the water molecule cluster size. It is the smaller cluster size that enables the water to pass through taste bud cell membranes more easily, taking the dissolved molecules that impart flavour with them.
Boots has one under his ceramic water bowl and another under his ceramic food bowl. Roger uses one under his drinking water and the odd glass of wine! Placing one under the fruit bowl makes the fruit taste better and last longer.
